April 19  Becky Gutzman - "Let It Rot"

Composting is a great way to put the old adage “waste not, want not” into action. Learn how to turn your garden and kitchen waste into black “gold” that will make your garden better than ever.

Becky is a life-long gardener and recycler from Colombia County. She enjoys finding new uses for old things, from bed frames to kitchen scraps. She is a Master Composter as well as a Master Gardener Volunteer. 

 

  • May 17:   Margaret Murphy: Be Safe when you Donate Food.   

  • June 21: Eli Gottfied to speak on Hydroponic Gardening.   

  • July 19:   Member Sharing Program: Send 1 - 4 photos of a single plant, tree or shrub in your yard to Ellen Terwilliger at terwilset@gmail.com by June 30th. Share information about that plant to our attendees.  Does it like sun, shade, soil requirements, zone hardiness, pest problems?

  • August 16:  Dr. Nora Mitchell on Native Sunflower research.

  • Sept. 20  Diana Alfuth on Prairie and Natives. 

  • October 18: To Be Announced

  • Nov. 22   Dr. Kristina Beuning on University Greenhouse at UWEC. This will be an in person tour if the pandemic situation permits.
