June 21: The pros and cons of hydroponic gardening by Eli Gottfried

Master Gardeners of Eau Claire and beyond please join us via Zoom on June 21st at 7 pm.  Eli Gottfried is by trade a professional soil scientist. He has worked in the discipline of soil science for approximately 30 years. His interests in hydroponics is purely from a science point of view.  Eli still believe the best crops come from the ground.

This presentation will discuss the 7 types of hydroponic gardening and the pros and cons of each method. It will also discuss the essential components in a successful hydroponic garden. Here is your chance to learn something new about a type of gardening most of us are not so familiar with.

  • July 19:   Member Sharing Program: Send 1 - 4 photos of a single plant, tree or shrub in your yard to Andy Heren at Andy.Heren@co.eau-claire.wi.us by June 30th. Share information about that plant to our attendees.  Does it like sun, shade, soil requirements, zone hardiness, pest problems?
